The latest season of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014, has experienced the changes with silhouettes and colour trend from the bright to get all dusky and dark. This season of LFW winter/festive 14, had changes in its venue to The Palladium Hotel in Mumbai from the Grand Hyatt being a part of it from long. The experience was totally craze and fashion charmed of course, not many from my always attended LFW events, but something that made a symbol of new modernized young designers to burst out with new line collections with creative silhouettes, that definitely changed the whole scenario.
Though of course the best wins of the ethnic charm spell bound, by famous well known bridal fashion collections by signature cuts and styles by their masters of design like, Anushree Reddy, Anju Modi, Vikram Phadnis, Arpita Mehta and Harshita Chaterjee, for their Bollywood Show stoppers brought the real illusion of their Bride look of 2014.
As you all know Lakme Fashion Week has always been close to my heart for the pride it got me as Designer, so here’s the current trend update from Lakme Fashion Week 2015 Summer/Resort, don’t miss it out.
Brides on the Runway of LFW W/F 2014
Choosing the Bolly Queens as the showstopper for these designers to showcase their outfit has set up the fire by the brides of the runway, their new trendy bold looks with their outfits did certainly do much justice for the collection. Talking on the 5 top Actresses walking down the ramp in bridal look, did fascinate the fashion industry and inspiring the new bridal trend for the season.
Nargis Fakri walks as the Bride for Anushree Reddy
The Collection seemed to have the light shades of bold colors in blues and pinks, a good sorted combination for Nargis Fakri walks in a Westernized look of vintage floral print lehenga in pink and a contrast aqua blue blouse with intricate dull gold embellishment with the same net match dupatta and embellishment.
Ileana D’cruz walks as the Bride for Arpita Mehta
Coming out of the vivid tones of hot pink, she dazzles in a silk lehenga in hot pink, with gotta work in growing floral motifs from hemline to above knee-length which stole the hearts, garment made in one whole color from the blouse and dupatta consisting of the same work details.
Chitrangada Singh walks as the Bride for Harshita Chatterjee
Experiencing the corals in trend, popping up for the festive wear, Chitrangada made her appearance in a pinkish-orange coral silk lehenga choli with gold detail work, which had a scallop border on dupatta and a blouse to give it the complete look.
Bipasha Basu walks as a Bride for Vikram Phadnis
The simple look bride in a heavy lehenga choli of embellishments in golden metalwork and intricate motifs all over the vertical panel lehenga and the same on the blouse neckline border as well dupatta border. The color in maroon gave a good base to the golden bronze work and add of the new look of cream and blue shaded net dupatta.
Jacqueline Fernandez walks as a Bride for Anju Modi
The looks complimented the royal theme of colors, she walked in a classy lehenga choli in maroon and beige, maroon lehenga with work in gold and beige, and contrasting blouse in intricate floral resham work in transparency effect. Stunning look for the actress in the traditional motifs of embroidery added the best details.
The actresses really dazzled on-ramp as Runway Brides, credits to the designer, and their line collection for such tremendous looks of the new era bridal wear. Wear the details of the ancient history revived in new patterns and concepts or stick to the totally new concept with a bold look
